Seriously how cool does my little chick look?! Love her.

Returned home and then both kids got sick through the night – thank goodness this didn’t happen in the tent!

My birthday wasn’t the best I’ve had – both kiddies still sick and Jon working but two of my most lovely friends dropped off my presents – fab jewellery!

And here is Beau modelling it all for me!
Wedding at work on Friday – I had to stay home with my sick babies and my sick self since they have kindly passed it on to me!
Everyone seemed much brighter on Saturday so I took them out for the day and it was such a beautiful afternoon. Unlike Sunday which was decidedly autumnal so we headed to soft play. This particular soft play was 4 stories of doom with monster children flying around at high speed. To battle The Hunger Games my two teamed up and I couldn’t have been prouder if Beau, she kept Wyn with her and they played together beautifully. When we came outside the weather had changed and we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the prom.

Well it looks like I’ve been AWOL for a few weeks so here’s the mega catch up!

I love catching Wyn sitting next to Jon at work – with the size difference Wyn looks so cute.Treat time πŸ’…

Beau’s first taster session at primary school – I cannot believe my baby starts school this year! She has had to prepare a file for school. We will need to put in a few pages about her summer holidays and this then becomes her school folder. With this much bling I doubt we’ll loose it!

Jon’s birthday weekend was fab – spent with best friends (although we did see sing-a-long Frozen – again!) but what can you do the girls LOVE it!

Wyn has fallen in love πŸ’

Another day in the kitchen watching the chefs hard at it.

A busy rest of the week. Nanna and Grandad came to stay which is always so lovely for the kids – and me they bring so much food!

Beau has her first Rainbows session and loved it – another uniform to buy!

Sunday was full on – we had an extra daughter for the day and the girls had so much fun. Only one falling out of fairy wings!

The week started out really well, blue skies and swinging in the garden. We had an angel to dinner Tuesday – she wasn’t an angel all day! Sports day in the morning followed by an afternoon at school meant Beau’s first swimming lesson in town was a disaster! She was more like this in the afternoon…

I love it when they snuggle up 😍

Thursday was a family day and despite the weather we had a lovely day. Always seems to rain on Jon’s day off.

Had to get Wyn a new sun hat on Friday and then Beau went and lost her one the very next day! However we certainly didn’t need it on Sunday – all in summer gear and the heavens opened. The Great British Summer in all it’s glory!

It has been a very busy week with work and home life colliding. We had an elderly family friend – 92 staying at the hotel for a few days. She never had children and so whilst wanting her to spend a little time with mine I am always acutely aware that she finds them and their childish nonsense alien in the extreme! We also had Jon’s nieces staying at our home and they adore my darling’s childish nonsense and find it completely compelling!

I meanwhile was working each day and squeezing in time with friends and their children early in the morning. Lucky to have such understanding friends.

My glass of wine on Friday night was just the job!

On Saturday we cleared out some of our baby items which have been taking up valuable space – clearly Beau is too big for the bouncing chair!

Wyn added the butter from lunch to his hair – I rather like the punk look!

A good friend’s sister was very tragically killed on Friday night in a road traffic accident. I am beyond words – it is so so sad. She was such a delight, a smile that lit up a room and a personality to match. When you hear news like this it just makes you want to squeeze your loved ones a little tighter.

It has been such a long week and I have been at work loads and yet all my pictures reflect my children – I always feel like I’m pulled in so many directions but even more so when my presence is required at the hotel day after day, all day like it is at the moment.

Beau has some new trainers and is now determined to learn to tie her own laces.

Wasn’t able to take Wyn to his swimming class on Tuesday due to work but he still gave me loads of glorious snuggles when I came home.

I purchased these hanging letters at Christmas but have decided to keep them out all year – they make me smile everytime I look at them.

Jon’s parents have dug out his toy cars from the depth of their garage for Wyn – I’m not sure who is more excited Jon or Wyn!

Beau’s hair is getting really long now but I am terrified about having it cut incase her curls disappear!

My children love to take all the cushions off the sofa and have cushion islands – I seem to remember doing the same when I was little.

Jon just managed to leave work just in time to come to the theatre with us today – we saw a production of the book ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson. It was fabulous – Beau found it really funny and Wyn enjoyed it up to a point but he was a bit tired and grouchy towards the end. We went out for supper and these two ‘monkey bottom faces’ were Wyn and my dinner companions – delightful!

I couldn’t resist this picture of Jon – why do cats always pick the person who is the most allergic to them to snuggle up to?

Beau lost a ballet shoe on the first night of her performance at the theatre – I haven’t replaced them yet, I am still hoping it will magically appear. I had so wanted to keep her very first pair of ballet slippers.

The posters are coming together for Don Giovanni which we are putting on this Summer in the village – with professionals doing the singing naturally!

This little chap was having a good nose over the fence at us and what a beauty he is.

Another image from the opera weekend.

I came downstairs to find Wyn enjoying storytime with Grandad – so sweet.

Beau had such a lovely time at the birthday party this morning – she loved decorating the glasses and of course posing for a picture afterwards!

On Monday Beau, Wyn and I enjoyed a late lunch out – they each had a pizza and I had a salad, I felt extremely virtuous! Plus it was delish which certainly helped!

On Tuesday I worked from home but was beginning to loose the will to live when I couldn’t connect to the network.

I got this picture done for Jon at Valentine’s but have only just had it framed. It’s from Not on the Highstreet by A is for Alphabet and I am really pleased with it.

Grabbed a takeout coffee from the hotel this morning – it’s a great initiative as far as I’m concerned!

Look at my girl asleep Friday night – I had to investigate when she was no longer on the monitor screen!

Forget ‘Where’s Wally’ it was ‘Where’s Beau’  Saturday afternoon and then the big tidy up before Daddy came home.

This last pic was from Saturday night we went to dinner at a friend’s house – the theme was ‘festival chic’. I have to admit we were a bit fast and loose with the term chic by the time we had consumed a fair amount of wine and the fake moustaches, wigs and glow sticks were in full use!

ο»Ώ

I this photo on Monday after seeing my Timehop from last year – the same one of the two of them on the sofa – here’s the comparison…ο»Ώ

Tuesday – Do other parents think that their children’s toy multiply overnight? I swear we didn’t have this amount yesterday!

I got the call from nursery on Wednesday morning to tell me Beau had been sick, so armed with a washing up bowl and a towel I went to retrieve my first born.ο»Ώ

ο»ΏSince doing our recent staff training we have started to put in place small ideas to give our guests a better experience – the first is free coffee to go in the mornings when guests are checking out.

Wyn is now the perfect age for ‘In the Night Garden’ and he adores it – simly mesmerised by the characters!

On Saturday Beau was a witch – I love this picture with Wyn just in the background by the fireplace.

Sunday was Mother’s Day but not for me! We had 50 in for lunch and 80 in for afternoon tea! Not really for my mummy either who had the children all day – my father did tell me they behaved really well though do that was a blessing!
