Seriously how cool does my little chick look?! Love her.

Returned home and then both kids got sick through the night – thank goodness this didn’t happen in the tent!

My birthday wasn’t the best I’ve had – both kiddies still sick and Jon working but two of my most lovely friends dropped off my presents – fab jewellery!

And here is Beau modelling it all for me!
Wedding at work on Friday – I had to stay home with my sick babies and my sick self since they have kindly passed it on to me!
Everyone seemed much brighter on Saturday so I took them out for the day and it was such a beautiful afternoon. Unlike Sunday which was decidedly autumnal so we headed to soft play. This particular soft play was 4 stories of doom with monster children flying around at high speed. To battle The Hunger Games my two teamed up and I couldn’t have been prouder if Beau, she kept Wyn with her and they played together beautifully. When we came outside the weather had changed and we enjoyed a lovely stroll along the prom.

The weeks are flying by and so with two poorly children and a day of Disney I have taken the time to catch up!

There are a few big events coming up in the village in the next couple of months – first will be the opera and then after that we have the fete. Much more excitingly than those however is that my boy turned two this week!

Two cute pics of my bubbas and a fabulous manicure for me round up this week! We were away for the weekend celebrating a 40th birthday so party nails were the order of the day!

Managed to get my hair sorted – no more grey for seven weeks!

We have a toad that lives near our front door and this little frogy chap by our back door. Quite the place for amphibians to hang out.
Look how he concentrates – this is just before the game was destroyed and it takes rather a long time to set up!
They wanted to sleep together, sleep took rather a long time coming but eventually bliss!

We went to Camp Bestival on Saturday with the kids and it is a truly family friendly festival. Expensive no doubt but a fabulous day out – we will be back.

Sunday marked the start if opera week in the village. We were in the church late setting up.

This year’s opera is Don Giovanni and the performers came from all over the world to take part.

It is amazing what such a tiny village can achieve – it was a great success roll on 2016!

My sister is over from Ireland for their annual summers holiday – it is lovely for our children to have this time together.

This week was full of celebrations two important birthdays for two important ladies. We also went on our first family camping trip. Going to with two other crazy families was amazing after days of rain the weather took a turn for the better and the sun shone for us. Happy memories banked!

My mother is away visiting her sister so I have been able to spend a week with the kids. The weather has also been kind so we have been outside a lot.

Pizza for supper on Monday went down very well, unlike the angel delight which received a mixed response at The Grays – Beau divided her portion out amongst the others!

The sand pit is a huge hit again this year.

That’s the view from sitting in our garden at the table – don’t think the kids realise how lucky we are, despite Wyn’s new found timidity around the cows!

The first picture just reinforces my need for a girly night out – we have so many half finished conversations on the go my brain can’t cope!

Wyn was wiped out after playing at the park – properly catching flys in this picture!

Love the last one which Beau took in the car – grinning at his big sister 😍

Our children are so cute sometimes, snuggled up together and on other occasions I can see their horns!

Have given this coffee machine a new home since it’s services are no longer required at the hotel – lucky us!

This little boy was wiped out and had a snooze on Granny’s sofa. At the time I was thinking he was about to get sick but we were spared this time!
We decided it was time for the little man to graduate to the cot bed. He looks so cute in his tiny bed – I also love that he comes into our room in the morning and tells me “out bed”.

Wedding preparations all day Friday – the bride made hundreds of little cranes. They looked fab hanging in the garden.

The weather on Saturday was superb and the wedding was lovely. We are so lucky to play such an important role in someone’s wedding. Job satisfaction – tick.

Sunday afternoon was family time spent in the garden and going for a bike ride in the village. Beau snapped this picture with my phone whilst Jon was taking photos of her. Like the filter she chose too!

Another very busy week at the hotel with the continued installation of our new PMS system.

On Monday morning Wyn missed his nap and was desperate for a snooze!

I am really pleased with Beau’s birthday party invitations which arrived this week – need to send them our double quick – not long till the party!

Wednesday was ‘go live’ day and all our work paid off and our system was all online and operational by the middle of the afternoon.

Jon had what seems like a rare night off and we ended up playing jenga – must be a record breaking tower – just look at how tall it is!

Every other Friday I have a box of organic veggies delivered and they are always fabulous. This week lots of lovely salad, spring onions and spinach.

We went to a local village fete on Saturday – the weather was lovely and it was a really relaxing afternoon spent with friends. Beau loved having her face painted as a princess.

On Sunday when Jon came home from work he decided to cut Wyn’s hair! He didn’t do a bad job at all, it’s just that he looks like a proper little boy now and not my baby Wyn.

It has been a very busy week with work and home life colliding. We had an elderly family friend – 92 staying at the hotel for a few days. She never had children and so whilst wanting her to spend a little time with mine I am always acutely aware that she finds them and their childish nonsense alien in the extreme! We also had Jon’s nieces staying at our home and they adore my darling’s childish nonsense and find it completely compelling!

I meanwhile was working each day and squeezing in time with friends and their children early in the morning. Lucky to have such understanding friends.

My glass of wine on Friday night was just the job!

On Saturday we cleared out some of our baby items which have been taking up valuable space – clearly Beau is too big for the bouncing chair!

Wyn added the butter from lunch to his hair – I rather like the punk look!

A good friend’s sister was very tragically killed on Friday night in a road traffic accident. I am beyond words – it is so so sad. She was such a delight, a smile that lit up a room and a personality to match. When you hear news like this it just makes you want to squeeze your loved ones a little tighter.

It has been such a long week and I have been at work loads and yet all my pictures reflect my children – I always feel like I’m pulled in so many directions but even more so when my presence is required at the hotel day after day, all day like it is at the moment.

Beau has some new trainers and is now determined to learn to tie her own laces.

Wasn’t able to take Wyn to his swimming class on Tuesday due to work but he still gave me loads of glorious snuggles when I came home.

I purchased these hanging letters at Christmas but have decided to keep them out all year – they make me smile everytime I look at them.

Jon’s parents have dug out his toy cars from the depth of their garage for Wyn – I’m not sure who is more excited Jon or Wyn!

Beau’s hair is getting really long now but I am terrified about having it cut incase her curls disappear!

My children love to take all the cushions off the sofa and have cushion islands – I seem to remember doing the same when I was little.

Jon just managed to leave work just in time to come to the theatre with us today – we saw a production of the book ‘Room on the Broom’ by Julia Donaldson. It was fabulous – Beau found it really funny and Wyn enjoyed it up to a point but he was a bit tired and grouchy towards the end. We went out for supper and these two ‘monkey bottom faces’ were Wyn and my dinner companions – delightful!
